WHERE ARE ALL THE BIG FISH? ⤵️ It’s Saturday and there’s finally a break in the weather with semi sunshine…so I made my way over to good old Mullumbimby on outgoing tide… Headed to my favourite bridge but couldn’t fish there as there was so much debris surrounding it. Managed to cast inbetween some logs and twigs and 5 min later had my first smallie Bream. 🐟 Hung out for a while longer before every Tom, Dick & Harry wanted to come over and have a yarn. Don’t get me wrong I like a chat especially where fishing is concerned but I also like my peace 🤪 Next spot was hardcore and required precision casting…which, was not on the cards. A few snags & a bite off later…got myself a small legal Bream. Mullum was not producing the goods and the tide was getting too low so I backtracked back to Brunswick Heads. Quick stop on the corner at the Caravan Park and another small Bream graced me with its presence. Called it quits shortly after as the combined stench of dog & bat poo became too gnarly! All in all I enjoyed the chase and the sunshine!!! Tight Lines my friends 🐟💪🏻

FIRST BREAM FOR 2025 The weather and work have not been kind to me! Plus I took the 14 Day Trial Subscription to 2025 and I’d like to decline! 😬☺️ Anyhoo this Breambo snuck up on me and it was a pleasant surprise in the first 5 min of bring out. Unfortunately that was it for the morning as the wind picked up and after the 3rd wind snag I had had enough! Tight Lines my Friends! Stay safe ❤️

ACCIDENTAL FISHING - Ok so we all know that it wasn’t an accident that I ended up fishing after running some errands today a few towns over. Almost on high tide and the spot I went to was perfect apart from the usual snags. Silly me however in my rush grabbed my (unstocked) kayak box instead of my other one (which I hadn’t yet re-packed into my backpack from my fishing trip up north). So basically I wouldn’t have been able to re-rig if I got snagged. Luckily I ‘accidently’ brought 2 rods. After a few fake outs I managed 2 solid Breambos just under 30cm. Very happy for 45min worth of fishing …and then the darndest thing happened on my way home…got petrol and when I got home suddenly there were 3 rods in my car for me to unpack. How on earth did that happen? I guess we’ll never know 😜 Tight Lines my Friends! 🐟❤️💪🏻

NEW VIDEO OUT NOW on YouTube! https://youtu.be/fvzOGYtWDOk?si=WABEY1FV_3CAmgyp I headed back to Mullumbimby where the snags got me good. Several crazy fish took me under the mangroves and Debris but I did manage 3 legal Bream to add to my tally! One was 28cm. Yehaaaaaaa! ❤️ Days are getting hotter so it’s really only going to be morning sessions over summer depending on the tides!!! Tight lines my friends! ❤️

Happy Sunday!!!! Nice little session over in Mullumbimby again today. The session started off pretty poorly. The spot where I wanted to go had a camping tent planted firmly in the middle of it. Typical…in a non camping area. So moving along up the road the second spot had a fishing boat right out the front of it. Face palm. 🤦♀️ Third spot was almost a bust with a hundred kiddies running around but I percevered and took deep breaths. Eventually the madness subsided and I got down to some fishing. 8 Snags in mangroves & trees, 5 Bream (2 legal) and 2 fishes lost, later…I called it a day! Was super nice to get out and enjoy the non rain 😝
