I got hooked on my first fishing trip! I impulsively went to the beach today and tried fishing for the first time ever. I'm a complete novice. I only wanted to experience the feeling of "casting - reeling in - repeating", but I got incredibly lucky! This bright red spotted grouper bent my rod so hard that it took me almost 10 minutes to get it down! I measured it; it was about 22 inches and 4.2 pounds. Catching such a big one on my first fishing trip! I'm so grateful to this fish for making me fall in love with fishing!
