The cold water temperature is had these bass very lethargic. The first fish of the day was the smallest (the first picture) and I caught it on a jig head with a live worm as a trailer. I was trying to catch a walleye, with the jig (which I had no luck catching one). This first fish was caught around 12 pm. Fast forward two hours and I caught a decent one pound bass on a Texas rigged Rage Crawl, out of a snag. Lastly, the biggest and last fish of the day was caught about an hour later, out of another snag. Possibly the last fish of the season, but at least it wasn’t a dink! I might ice fish a little at a friend’s pond, but I probably won’t post any more catches till spring, unless I go out tomorrow to Merritt Lake. I’ll still be on FA, just not as much. 🎣 Tight Lines 🎣

Last fish of the day. I did hook a dink later, but he shook it right at the kayak. Also the biggest fish of the day. For the cold weather the bass were still hungry for my Strike King Bleeding Bitsy jig, which I picked up from Walmart right before.

Third fish of the day. They were destroying this jig. My dad didn’t catch a single fish though. I hooked probably 6 fish today, even with the cold weather.

Only fish of the day. I was reeling in my Rage Crawl, Texas rigged with a Googan Squad 4/O Hammer hook, and suddenly this fish was at the end of my line. I also had another fish break my 10 pound fluorocarbon leader, which is a bummer because it felt good, by rubbing it on the snag that all of the fish hide in. On a good note it jumped out of the water and I saw my rage crawl come out of it’s mouth, so he won’t swallow plastic at least. Only had two hours to fish, so one fish isn’t terrible. I probably should’ve had thirty instead of ten pound fluorocarbon, especially with all of the snags.

Second and last fish of the day! It was a good day for how hot it was. I had a bunch of small bites on the black and blue Rage Crawl. It was a black and blue kinda day. My dad caught one, with a lot of other bites, with a bitsy black and blue swim jig. All of the bass that we caught were in or around submerged trees. The trees were mostly only accessible by kayak too, so they weren’t that pressured.

First catch of the day in the kayak! I know it’s not that big, but it’s the biggest bass that I’ve caught in a while. Had a bunch of bites on the black and blue Rage Crawl today, only hooked a few.
