Robert Parker At Mill Lake
No easy fish as the fall transition continues. Had to work hard to find the pattern today on new-to-me water. Zero clouds and the wind was way up, so I went to a spinner bait. They wouldn’t touch it on the weed edges along the shoreline so I decided to fish a small patch of lilies in 8-10 feet near the center of the lake. The surrounding water quickly dropped to about 18 feet so I figured they would be staging in the deeper areas and ambushing anything that moved under the lilies. I was right. Made four passes through the same small patch, which saved a tough day on the water. 👊
