Balsam Lake

Balsam walleye trip rewarded me with 2 nice sized ones. Ended up turning into a bass trip as I found massive congregations of them. At a couple of different points it was a fish every cast. Also confirmed some color theory. The water is very clear here. Nothing dark would get much attention, while a light colored worm was getting crushed.

Really nice to fish with Danny Danny Liu today! Also we tried new food at Kelseys. Also a beautiful lake with small mouth bass! I only caught 3 but one of them is 3lber. However, I got my rod broken again… is this a curse? Maybe I need to taje a rest next week…

Tried to find some walleye but couldn't go to the Canal side cause holy crap the wind got pretty brutal on Sunday. If you're not fighting the lake, are you really fishing?

3 solid days with lots of fish tales. Many fish were caught, walleye/bass, except musky..😮‍💨 and the slot size (💯regulations) made it more of a challenge to get the big ones to bite and to have a good fish fry. Till next time fish of 10000cast..🫡🎣🥷

Balsam lake, tô hard to fish

Team up with Danny today. Focused on small mouth and got 9. Only one 3lber and one 2 lber others are small. Really windy like riding the roller coaster on water… Danny landed a super decent walleye! Hopefully I can get a walleye this year

Caught a bunch of these few oz to one pound yellow perch on some tube jigs just jigging

Meant to hit Joseph lake but screwed up my scheduling. Had to go to Balsam for a family event at a cottage. This lake is cool, you can see nice smallies cruising the shallows consistently. I need to take my yak here at some point and really get on the smallies
