Yesterday was a bit dissapointing. I thought we were going on the kayaks, but my dad told me he didnt want to get attacked by alligators and sharks in a little plastic boat. So, I switched plans and headed back to the park. Only one new species showed up today, being the white grunt. Ended up catching 6 different species today, including a redtail parrotfish and a dusky damsel fish that I personally caught. I did hook into a small barracuda. I had hooked a small grunt when he darted in and snatched it up. He had the fish in his mouth and was at the surface, so I was going to try ans boat flip him over the sea wall. Unfortunately he cut through my leader before I was able to do that.

Had a great multi species day at South Beach Park and Pier. Caught 11 different species of fish, all on shrimp with a high low rig and size 6 hooks. The bites were instant, and we probably spent more time really baiting than actually in the water. I believe the species we caught were sergeant major, atlantic seabream, bluestriped grunt, lane snapper, sand perch, sailors choice grunt, tomtate grunt, dusky damselfish, schoolmaster snapper, French grunt, and redtail parrotfish. We probably would have caught a ton more fish if we had smaller hooks, but I figured the high low rig would be small enough. I'd say size 12 would be perfect. We also went fishing yesterday and caught a few hardheaded catfish. Our flight got delayed by 4 hours because there was no captain. We went on my dad's friend's boat only for a couple hours and stayed in Jupiter Inlet. Hopefully tomorrow we can do some kayaking to try and catch some saltwater gamefish.
