So happy caught a beautiful 3 +lb Bass!! I decided to try Ridgecrest Park for the first time because there’s bigger bass. So I put on my Bill Lewis Chrome Shad Rat-L-Trap lure and caught 2 Bass within the first 30 minutes. This was the 2nd Bass. He was bigger. Caught him on my Ugly Stik inshore select on my KastKing Kapstan elite King 3000 reel on 20 lb Suffix Braided line. What’s crazy is that a few people weren’t catching anything. I’m the only one that caught two Bass. The Rat-L-Trap was the only thing working at this pond! 🎣👍👌✨🌅

crazy catch! so i was trying to catch some bluegill to stock a new retention pond on my new job site ive been going to this local park they have tones of little blues and golden shiners as well, im trying to get as many as i can because ive already caught and stocked about 6 bass(2 of them are over 4 lbs). the pond its about 100 yards by 30 yards. so i get some bread, my superlight pole with 5lb test size 8light wire hooks and no weight or bobber, i catching quite a few small bluegill and all of a sudden. the pole bends and drag if flying, i thought i had a giant bluegill, until he jumps out of the water, i thought no way im getting him halfway across the lake but lucky for me after about 7min i got him landed. never in all my years have i caught bass this big on a bread dough. sometime you hook them in the perfect spot and its your lucky day lol
