She caught her first fish on her very own gear ... a 5-ft rod and spinning reel ($9 special at Walmart). The line was crap (respooled it later) but it did the trick ... she was so proud of herself, and from my kayak no less! 🚣‍♀️🎣🐟

Count them ... THREE largemouth bass at Beaver Pond in Franklin tonight ... The first was pretty small but bigger than May's catch (caught on a large grub) and then I upgraded lures and caught two honkers! (One on a creature bait, the last one in a popper). What an awesome way to end the workday!!! 🎣🐟🐟🐟

First gill of the year. This pond always produces bluegills year-round.
