I had already loaded the kayak in the truck and was taking a few last casts from shore before heading home when this dinosaur smacked my Berkley popper. First Bowfin I’ve run into. Put up a really nice fight. I’m not familiar with this species and found out the hard way they have teeth when I tried to remove the trebles with my hand. Won’t be making that mistake again. What a bonehead I am. 😆
