Recent Catches At Saranac River

Took advantage of a break in the rain yesterday and launched the kayak on a dammed section of the Saranac River. My target was northern pike, which I successfully managed to land, along with some topwater smallmouth as the sun began to set.

Traveled to a new spot today and landed my first Pike out of the Saranac River. This spot was on fire today and I landed probably three dozen smallmouth, only about five were sizeable but the small ones were very pretty. Along with this insane smallmouth haul, I caught about half a dozen rock bass and two fallfish.
