Went out of Rye Harbor Thursday night around 11pm and anchored about 4 miles offshore and went to sleep, only to be awaken by water flooding into the cabin at 3am. I jumped up and looked at the stern and water was pouring in. I immediately tried firing the motor slightly below the water line and shockingly it started. I hammered it and cut the anchor off as I passed it and straight into the harbor. Normally I will get 34mph but with thousands of pounds of water I couldn’t get above 8 mph. I tied what I could to the dock and shortly thereafter the fire and rescue arrived and 3 hours later pumped out enough water to be towed to my trailer. What an event
