Meerhof, Hartbeespoort Dam

If ever there was a trip that was educational, it would be this one. Busy on the bank as many people wanted to take a chance at those big Harties carps. On this day I witnessed with my own eye the amazing beauty in a 15kg plus carp, and multiple of them came out on the day. I had 2 opportunities to land one but unfortunately my swim was filled with snags and the fish knew exactly where they were and how to get off the hook. Needless to say I left there with only memories of what could have been a day filled with PBs. Next time the tackle will be stronger and I will be ready and calm to land myslef one of those magnificent carps...our dance has but just begun 👌😁
