I'm a pleasure angler, who up until 2013 was a strictly course fisherman. Then I was introduced to fly fishing and fly dressing by my eldest son and my dad. I now do both types but lean towards fly fishing more, and enjoy the lack of tackle and luggage I take. I am a member of the flydressers guild and find my tying is improving all the time. I have entered the fly fishing & fly tying magazine, fly tying competition novice section for the last few years and came 7th this year. I'm always looking for new materials to incorporate into new flies, and to improve my fishing technique.
