This is my fish tank, 60L 2ft x 1ft x 1ft. I have got 5 empire gudgeons and one striped gudgeon all of which I have caught by myself with my fish trap. Only got a photo of one of the empire gudgeons because the big striped gudgeon is a bit camera shy. Everything (expect for the plants that I did buy) in this fish tank, I have found and/or cleaned. For all of the drift wood, I used a Stanley knife and sandpaper to get the bark off and the boiled it, for the substrate, I got it out of my local creek (same place where I caught all of the fish in the tank) and cleaned it thoroughly and then boiled. Same for the big rocks in there.

Another successful haul of tiny platyfish. Heaps of fun and great bait for bigger fish like bass or striped gudgeon

A coupe of Tilapia also landed during yesterday's late afternoon session. Tilapia are considered a noxious fish here in South East Queensland and must not be returned to the water.

Got this Australian Bass on a metal vibe yesterday afternoon. The bite was a bit slow, but still managed a couple 🤙🎣
