Out fishing today with Scott H , Arlocatchescatfish 183 and a few other mates, I caught this nice 43cm tilapia, nearly beating my pb but not quite. I caught it on a little piece of bread.

POTENTIAL AUSTRALIAN RECORD? Caught this 45cm, 1.8kg Mozambique Tilapia while I was having a little afternoon flick. The Australian record for biggest Mozambique Tilapia is 46cm and 2kg. Although mine is just a little smaller, it feels great to know I was close to getting the biggest Mozambique Tilapia in Australia! . I was trying for a good half an hour to catch this fish, he was teasing me just at the bank in his nest but eventually, I casted right on the middle of his nest, and he went to the lure so I gave it a little twitch and he took it. I set the hook, he was fighting for about 2-3 minutes where I would get him close to the bank then he would run, until I got my thumb in his mouth and pulled him up. It was a great fight for the brand new combo and a great time for me (not so much for the fish) I gave him a quick, easy death by stabbing him right through the brain.

Mission unsuccessful😞 only caught a turtle and saw a goose. Hopefully tomorrow brings better luck.
