Chilliwack, British Columbia

Had an absolutely unforgettable time yesterday fishing for Sturgeon in the Fraser Valley. My first chance to do so, and I couldn’t have wished for a better outcome. Thanks to our outfitter, BC Sportfishing Group, our group was able to land 8 sturgeon all between the 6-8 foot range, longest being 7’10”. Huge shoutout to Tony and Sarah for all their knowledge and expertise. Also a huge shoutout to my mom who gifted me this trip as a grad gift. We only lost three today, which isn’t bad considering the sheer size and power of these fish. One spooled us out before our captain could start the boat and chase it downriver. Must’ve been a monster though. Captain said that’s only something he’s seen a few times. Never gonna forget this day. Battling these prehistoric monsters is not comparable to any type of fishing I’ve done previously. The body’s sore though haha. Tight lines everyone!!
