Ryan Jones At Big Branch
Today was a much needed day on the water. Not only did I finally catch my first vermont brown trout, but I also completed the trout trifecta, which had also been a goal of mine. Went south to fish some new water, and Big Branch did not disappoint. Between the golden yellow birch trees and the crystal clear water, it was a beautiful day out. Totaled 1 brown, 1 brookie, and a ton of rainbows, all wild. The bows were some of the prettiest I've seen, with literally golden scales.the brown was also unique, as it had bright blue halos, yet very dark par marks and what looked like a black vertical line running down its side. The fish were caught on jig streamers and p-tails, tightening. I was very happy with today, especially after everything that happened yesterday. It was a perfect fall day in vermont, and the scenery was stunning as always. Hopefully can get out this week and get some salmon.
