Recent Catches At Raven Lake

Spent the afternoon on Raven Lake with some buddies. We came expecting to get some decent sized brookies through the hole, but the fish were so easily spooked. Checking out our baits, but turning away at the last second. This small brookie was the only fish we managed on the day. It’s my first fish of 2026 so I’m excited about that. Caught on one of my buddy’s setups using a small ice jig and shrimp. There was some sizeable fish down there, and on multiple occasions we saw a giant of about 7 lbs. He wouldn’t take though sadly. Lost a couple near the hole too.

Well it was a decent day. Lots of action but the fish were being picky AF! Only 3 brookies. But the last bow that snapped my line will haunt me lol. Oh well you win some and lose some 🤙
