Recent Catches At San Jose River

Cute native Rainbows for my girl and I today at one of my favourite local spots. When I went earlier this year the River was pretty bone dry in this section (post location isn’t accurate), and the falls were non existent. Guessing a beaver dam went out in the time between my visits because the river was flowing at normal July levels and the trout were back. Also captured one of my favourite photos ever of a fish, you guys could prolly guess which pic.

Some more nice native ‘bows. These from the mainstem San Jose River. Some on a Parachute Adam’s, Some on Foam Dragonfly. Water’s very low but the trout are stacked in waterfall pool. Most beautiful place I’ve ever found.

Another wildstock beauty out of the San Jose watershed. Hit a big leech, wasnt looking for dinks this session but I’d rather a little bow than a pikeminnow. Tight lines guys!
