Head Lake

I had heard a couple of guys in a local tackle shop asking where they should go with all the wind. I thought to myself, lol these chumps, the forecasted wind was not that bad. It was pretty bad White caps everywhere, boats zipping by didn't help. Got splishy splashed pretty good. Lots of small bass here and I can see the potential for larger ones. I got a 3lber casting backward near a boulder. It seems these guys were all hunkered down in the weeds. Only got them on finesse, dropshot or Ned. I was playing around with a pack of perch around some weed edges when a surprise visitor showed up. My first decent walleye! He came home with me for dinner and I must say, I understand now why many ppl target them for food. I realized I don't actually hate eating fish. I just hate the usual Chinese ways of preparing fish by steaming 🤢 Fish fry is awesome Got a new external battery connection for the GoPro. I can film continuosly and it doesn't overheat anymore. Very cool. Got the 3lber and walleye on vid.
