Lower Buckhorn Lake

Yesterday was a wash out with rain, shopping and out for dinner. Today was a beautiful day. Calm waters and the girls each got a fish.

Guys weekend ended Sunday. I stayed and the girls came up Sunday night. Went out today and Jenny got off to a good start but that was it. Even did some trolling tonight but no luck. Maybe tomorrow.🤷

Saturday was a great day weather wise but not so much fishing wise. Zack managed to avoid the skunk.

Day 2 of guys weekend. No fish but the Loons are not seen as often as years ago. Nice to see them with young ones.

Back at Three Castles in Buckhorn. We arrived yesterday but couldn't get out until today. Breezy but managible. PB LM @ 4.8 lbs. 5 " Senko, Texas Rig.

Got out twice today. Jenny and I managed a bass each. Marion got shut out but got herself a rock bass this evening to save her day. Vacation is over. Heading home tomorrow. Will give it another shot in September.

Managed to get out again tonight. Jenny did OK but us retired people got shut out. I know a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work but what about us retired people? I guess we're just SOL!🤔

With the rain and the wind we didn't get out until tonight. Marion and Jenny both got a SM bass. As for me, I was once told that the older you get the harder it is to get wood. As you can see, I had no trouble tonight. 🙂
