Dry Branch Pond

I was retrieving a shad color fluke over some green muck across what I thought was a tiny turtle head. Water just exploded! Weird thing is it got hooked on the outside cheek. So I don't know if it was going for the bait or got spooked into the hook. Either way, it was a feisty one. Strong too.

Two piece this morning. Lost another in the grass. The land around this pond is getting developed😡 Some of the bank spots have been covered up and the water level is about 12" lower then it should be. Ruined😭
