Lake Washington

Decided to check out my new local pond today and it did not dissapoint. My family just moved, and this place is literally a minute from my house. Since I left my yak up in VT, I was using my raft which worked great. It was a bit difficult to land fish in, because even the 12" pickerel were spinning it in circles, but it did the job. I landed 2 bass, both about a pound, 7 pickerel, the biggest at 18", and a CHUNK of a bluegill. The fish itself was only 8" long, but it was stupid fat. I missed/lost a ton of other fish as well, including a 3lb bass. Most of the fish were on the popper, and when they hit it, it was hard to keep the bass from jumping, since I sit below the water in the raft. I also had a few fish on the spinnerbait, but it seemed like every 3 casts something was hitting the popper. All of this was just 4 hours of fishing, so I can't wait to utilize this fishery more this summer!
