First cast, good thing I don’t believe in the first cast curse.

Caught this 30” drum during slack tide, nearly lost him on a pilon , trying to net him. A wave came, snapped my line, and he fell right into my net. Then just as I was about to leave. Somebody’s neglected rod took off. I grab the rod, reeled in the Stripper. He too seceded in getting stuck on the pilling, lowered my net, only for it to get stuck on a gotch plug. Both fish and net now stuck on pilon, I didn’t want to yank my net free. Just then a wave hit. Threw the fish into my net which I could then yank free. DESTINY!!

Started my day with this 29” Drum. Threw my line out, before I got my second line in the water he hit. Caught 10 Blues, gave away, or threw back all but these last two, 22” and 26” blues.

This guy may have been having an identity crisis. He was apparently running with the Blues, which I also caught and gave away.

Nasty windy day, perfect Drum weather. First Red Drum of the year. Also a 24” Blue. I recently made some double drop rigs using 50 lb leader. I lost four rigs today from 30+ inch Blues in the surf. They kept biting thru my leaders, before I could get the net on them. Fun day.
