First cast catch! Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️

My #144 fish in CS. Met a friendly teacher and very happy to learn some fly fishing skills today.

I made sure I waited to set the hook. I was using 38 pound 9 strand braid of course a frog.

I got this on on a jig/brush hog. Then I heard the 13 gunshots. I hope that young man is alive. I seen him hurt. if anyone know how I can contact the family let me know.

Smallest fish I’ve ever caught… too small to identify its species …
