Aught this fish on a Wacky Rig green in color close to the bank

Thought it was a striper but think it’s a wiper. Body shape made me think it was a striper

First gar I was able to land and hold. Will prob be the last, too slimy and non stop thrashing

First cast with a walleye deep runner lure and was actually able to bring him to shore. Used the net to hold him in place to get the hook out. I need a rope next time I go to this spot
