Last fish of the day also the biggest bass that I’ve ever caught out of this pond, even though it’s only almost a pound. I “accidentally” tripped over my feet and somehow stumbled past the big fish live here sign, oh well, I guess the sign’s right. Had to leave early today because I’ve got track practice, any one else doing track, this year?

I had cast along the bank and was retrieving the rooster tail slowly when this guy nailed it, he felt much bigger on my ultra light.

Another one that ate it right at the bank! Even though I saw him eat it and set the hook right away, he still somehow managed to swallow the hook! I got the hook back and he swam off okay 🤞🤞.

Watched him inhale it right at the bank! Super cool eat.

First catch of the day, a small CHANNEL CAT on a ROOSTER TAIL!! I’ve only ever caught a channel cat on artificial once before (on a mini glide bait last year). I actually found this lure the last time I was fishing at this pond. Caught it on my 7 foot ugly stix ultra light, which was a lot of fun, I could feel everything, from the bite to its rolling in the water.

8th and last fish of the day. It was getting pretty hot out there, and I had run out of water, so I rode the mile back to my house, to relax on my spring break. Is anyone else on spring break or is it just my school?

7th and Biggest Bluegill of the day!

6th Bluegill on the weightless worm. The gnats were all over me for some reason when I was standing on the rocks. Luckily they didn’t bite.🍀
