Last fish of the day, make that the last fish of the year for me. Had a couple of bites after, but couldn’t hook up. About the same size as the last one. 🎣Tight lines everyone!!🎣

First fish of the day! Smallest channel 🐱 of the year!

Well this fish ended my fishing trip abruptly!! I was unhooking this cat and he decided to flop around while my hand was dangerously close to the hook. As he fell out of my hands, the hook ended up stuck in my pinkie finger. My parents took me to the ER, and then three hours later the hook was removed. I kept the remaining pieces 😁😁. I guess this is what I get for fishing on Monday when we don’t have school.

Second fish of the day was a little 🐱🐟. Also found this little crank bait and had a big monarch butterfly land on my bike!

First fish of the day, my third biggest channel catfish ever caught.

At this pond there was a youth fishing derby, so I participated in it. There were two categories, longest and most fish. I was catfishing on the bottom with my one pole, and with my ultra light spinning rod I was casting a weightless worm. I managed to land three sunfish, a small bass, and a channel 🐱. I managed to get second place in both categories. I was the only person to land four different species though, so it was a good day.

My bait was literally in the water for about 15 seconds and this guy was already tugging on the line. I hadn’t even put my bell onto my rod yet. Second and last fish of the day, only had about two hours to fish though.
