Kris Hubler At Monocacy Creek
This morning was perfect conditions for the big monsters, this fish isn't one of them. I lost a gigantic female that was AT LEAST 26 inches long, and thick like a tank. What bothers me most is that it was my fault that I lost it. I was trying to keep it out of a log jam that it kept racing towards. I kept muscling it back, but I kept it too close to the surface. I tried to net it, when I should have played it more. What makes matters even more discouraging, is that I moved upstream immediately after, and got stung twice by the only dang yellow jacket that was out during this storm... That's been my luck of lately.
