Fish are biting

First fish of the spring season! Used a small crank bait in some slow moving deeper pools.

First fish of the spring season! I started with a spinner but It was pretty slow moving water where I was and wasn’t having any luck with that. I changed tack and put on a small crank bait. I targeted some deep spots with rocks, and BAM!

Today I may have over did it! We did a lot of walking and my knee and back are definitely hurting! But this smile is all real and makes it worth it! Catching this small brook trout while reeling it in another came up about the same size and was trying to eat the little part of hook hanging out of this guys mouth! So cool! Wish I got a video! I’m sore but so happy I caught a few fish and saw lots following! Was a great day on the prairie creek!
