Skulow Lake

Beautiful Horsefly strain stocked ‘Bow of about 2 lbs. Smacked my wooly bugger not long after it hit the water. Lost another, presumably bigger, that broke me off. This one was probably right around the 20 inch mark in length, which is what I start to consider a “trophy” fish.

First fish on the new spinning reel my dad handed down to me. Will be a major upgrade from the $20 Zebco Long Draw I’ve had as my main. Nice blackwater strain, about 14 inches if I had to guess. Took a little flatfish behind two spitshots trolled through the middle.
