First day of fishing of the year 👀 Was my last cast as me and my friend had to leave and got this beauty of a rainbow/steelhead 🎣 someone comment if this is a rainbow or a steelhead lol don’t see the pink stripe so I believe might be my fist steelhead possible?😅 Regardless was a fun day and don’t judge on my release lmfao my boots were full of mud 😂

Nice day out on the harbour. No wind, no snow. Maybe 10” of ice. Saw a ton of perch and 2 bowfin. Caught more and larger perch than yesterday on Cook’s Bay.

This has gotta be the biggest perch I’ve ever caught lmao he slammed the Mepps Black fury number 4😂

Went for a quick hour to fish the harbour at a different spot.. not much luck today other than catching a small perch and this brown bullhead 🎣

Caught this MONSTER of a perch today!! First time seeing perch this size! The picture doesn’t do justice but I was blown away lol 🐠 🎣

Story time: Last night, I caught this monster of a perch new PB for this species and looks bigger in person.. As I walked off the ledge to unhook it, I accidentally kicked my phone in the water and could not find it.. Came back this morning to look for it (I had to go diving for it in the nasty water lol) and ended up luckily finding it 😂 Great way to start my Wednesday morning at 9am fishing for my phone and not actual fish!!
