A Rare Little Ontario Catch! 🎣 Catching a sunfish in Ontario usually isn’t a big deal. Bluegill and pumpkinseed are everywhere, and even green sunfish can show up from time to time. But Northern Sunfish? That’s a different story. They’re much less commonly encountered and have a far more limited distribution, so finding one on the end of my line was genuinely exciting. It may not be a trophy-sized fish, but rarity can make a tiny fish feel like a giant catch. That’s one of the things I love about fishing—sometimes the biggest excitement comes from the smallest fish. Northern Sunfish unlocked! 🎣☀️
