Lower Trout Lake

Made the most of a quick after-work trip. Started with the reliable whacky until the sun started setting, switched to a shallow running crankbait on the drop-offs just outside of the water park (a productive technique on this lake) and finally top-water as darkness rolled in and the bigger fish started moving around. Tight lines. 👊

Mixed bag on the crankbait tonight. 👍

Today, there was literally one very small area where the bass were concentrated. The reason I know this is because I circled the entire lake with no action. Nothing. Returned to the spot where the electronics showed a sandy bottom leading to a steep drop off with submerged structure and vegetation. Here was the best of the bunch. Tight lines! 👊

By request… I hit another new spot today… Lower Trout Lake. Wind was tough, but I found them deep with the KVD Square Bill! Big thanks to Alex for the recco! 👊 Okay FA, where do I go next?!? 🤣
