Great Miami River

Best fish of the creek walk on the ultralight. I seen her swirl at the bank and threw the trout magnet right on her. Indicator disappeared and the fight was on. Couldn't even pull her in the current just had to ride her out with drag until I could pull her up to the bank yeeeyee tight lines y'all

Feisty little bass

It was a perfect day for being outside, so I snuck in about an hour of fishing. I wish I had more time. The fish were active. I only managed to hook one, but got several bites.

I did some micro fishing today in hopes to get some big creek chubs for bait. I didn’t have any luck finding the chubs, but still had fun catching a bunch of other little fish.

Today seemed like a good day to get the fly rods wet, so I took my nephews to Germantown. One of them caught his first fish on a fly rod, so that was fun. I caught a rock bass about half the size of his fish. Then we switched to worms. He outfished me by getting a nice spotted bass about a foot long. Everything I caught looked like miniature versions.

My nephew and I were able to sneak in about an hour of fishing. The water was still a little fast and murky, but I was still able to find one decent fish.
