Lake Fort Phantom Hill

Much better day than yesterday. Started off slow but just took some moving around. Even got to have some fun with some white bass. The MG-TI really can throw just about any bait lol. Caught two white bass and a lot of tiny bass on a rooster tail, the channel cat and a couple drum on nightcrawlers, and the little hybrid striper on a live shiner

Pretty consistent bites this evening but they must’ve all been about this size because this was the only Lu one landed. Still a beautiful evening. Hopefully the bite will be a little bigger tomorrow

Had some fun with the drum yesterday evening with my buddy Jayden. These guys love live minnows lol. Also got a tiny bass that flipped back into the water when I unhooked him.

Been a minute but finally took the boat out after having some trolling motor issues. Still not fixed, but still had a good time throwing around 4D Baits squarebills and catching some white bass and a couple largies! Caught them all with the 4D Baits squarebills in the color ditch pickle throwing it on my KastKing MG-TI. Only a few more weeks until the first tournament of the season!

Few recent catches I forgot to log. New PB bullhead, a fun fighting drum on the BFS, and my first hybrid striper in a while. Probably my second favorite species to catch

Been trying for a long time now and can officially say I broke the 6lb mark! First time taking the boat out in 2025 and this tank was waiting on me! Weighed in at 6lbs even. Hard to beat catching your PB with your favorite technique! Great start to 2025 and somehow more pumped for my 2025 season to start than I was before this fish. I think I'm ready to go find a few more of these now lol.

Tough tournament out on the home lake today. Managed to land one keeper for 1.8lbs. Lost a nice one that definitely would’ve helped. Several little fish as well. Went out Monday afternoon and did some multi species fishing with a buddy of mine. Just little fish but a lot of fun on ultralight! Missed a lot more fish so might need to use smaller hooks next time but will definitely come back to this spot soon. Saw a lot of big carp and buffalo rolling out deeper so we’re gonna try and get some of those next time as well.
