Was very happy about this beautiful eel probably one of first eels that were logged in Aboyne loch thought they didn’t have em until this one showed up!

Midnight Snake: Another Sleek Eel Hits the Bank! 🪱🐍🌌 The night action isn't slowing down! Another slippery visitor took the bait—a fine European Eel, estimated at around 60 to 65 cm. I decided to skip the measuring tape for this one. Anyone who’s caught an eel knows they wriggle and twist just like a snake, making a precise measurement nearly impossible on the mat! I opted to unhook him quickly and let him slide right back into the dark currents. Swim safe! 🐍🌊⚡ Ďalší nočný hád: Úhor na háčiku! 🪱🐍🌌 Nočná akcia pokračuje v plnom prúde! Ďalšou rybou na háčiku bol opäť slizký nočný lovec – úhor európsky, odhadom tak 60 až 65 cm. Meranie som tentokrát radšej vynechal. Vlní sa presne ako had a spraviť presné meranie na podložke by bolo neskutočne komplikované. Namiesto zbytočného trápenia išiel po rýchlom odháčkovaní šup späť do vody. Midnight Eel: A Night Hunter Strike! 🪱🐍🌌 Shortly after midnight, the tip of my rod doubled over in a sharp bite! A sleek European Eel, roughly 60 cm long, couldn't resist the juicy bunch of worms on the hook. These nocturnal creatures are always a wild handful on the bank, but landing one under the night sky is always a thrilling experience. The night fishing continues to deliver! 📏🐍✨ Polnočný lovec: Úhor po polnoci ohol prút! 🪱🐍🌌 Krátko po polnoci prišiel nekompromisný záber a prút sa ohol do pekného oblúka! Na háčiku skončil ďalší nočný lovec – úhor európsky s dĺžkou približne 60 cm. Červíky mu neskutočne zachutili a predviedol svoj typický nočný tancek. Udržať tohto mrštného háda na podložke je vždy výzva, ale presne takéto zážitky robia nočný rybolov neopísateľným. First time catching eels 🤯

An Elusive Night Visitor: A Snake on the Rod! 🪱🐍🌌 The night is truly magical! The fish have been biting non-stop all night, and now a beautiful European Eel has come to check out my unhooking mat. Measuring it was an absolute challenge, but it’s definitely 60+ cm. If you've ever tried to hold one of these slimy, muscular fish still for even just a few seconds, you know it's totally impossible! The earthworms are still doing absolute wonders tonight. 📏🐍✨ Had na prúte: Čarovná noc plná akcie! 🪱🐍🌌 Noc má svoje neopísateľné čaro! Ryby berú spoľahlivo celú noc a najnovšie sa prišiel na moju podložku pozrieť tento úhor európsky. Zmerať ho bol hotový zážitok, vôbec sa mu nechcelo spolupracovať, takže je to takých 60+ cm. Každý rybár vie, že udržať túto rybu na pár sekúnd bez pohybu je totálne nemožné! Large eel caught in a piece of bread in the evening. My medium rod hardly pulled him out of the water. I had to release him because he is a critically endangered species. I don’t really recommend catching these guys because they are very stinky and slimy and it’s almost impossible to get the hook out of them.
