Tried one last time before the year ended to get my first wild Brown. Headed to Pa today, but ended up catching this stocker. It looks like a stocker being that it's fin is clipped. If you think otherwise let me know. Was still a beautiful spot, and my first Brown since March! The hunt for wild Browns continues! I don't care if I have to fly halfway across the country for it, I'll do it! I'm not giving up! Hard to believe that this is my last catch of the year! It's been a wild year!

My first time catching trout on dry flies! Today I got to head to the mountains and try for some wild brookies. This time I brought my fly rod and I landed 5 brook trout. I finally got the bow and arrow cast down which was necessary to fish these holes. These fish were incredibly gorgeous and tricky to land on the fly rod. I still haven’t really figured out my hooksets but I assume it’s always tricky with such small fish.

First ever wild brookies! I’ve been wanting to catch one of these guys for years now and I’ve never been able to run into any. Finally, I happened to stumble across the perfect creek and pulled out 5 gorgeous brook trout. It’s not every day I get to fish a creek I can basically step across.
