After my unsuccessful bowfin mission earlier in the week, I was still eager to get my hands on some. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to target them in a small creek in Vermont and I managed to land three! These guys were biting on frozen shrimp, and I even landed a largemouth on the shrimp too.

Slow session clicked on for the golden hour. 0-100 and patience paid off. 3 years ripping bowfin to land one over 28”, been a battle!

One of those catches, one of those days! Casting for bass and potential steelhead in a small stream, laker ripped out from a run, only lake trout Ive ever heard of sneaking up into the lewis. Absolute surprise!
