Another successful day of snakehead fishing! I managed to land a few nice fish on the baby whale, including this nice snakehead, a small walleye, and a few smallmouth bass.

Today I got the opportunity to fish for my favorite PA invasive dragon fish! I spent my morning fishing the Delaware River and landed five different species. In total I caught three smallmouth, a striped bass, a walleye, a channel catfish on a swimbait, and two snakeheads! The walleye and the striper were firsts for me in the Delaware River. Both of these snakeheads were taken back home and filleted for dinner tonight.

Today I kayaked over 8 miles down the Delaware River and landed a big snakehead! This guy came in at 30.5 inches long and over 7lbs! However, I didn’t get him from the kayak. I fished from shore prior to launching and got this guy on a swimbait with my medium light rod. The 8 miles that followed only yielded 2 smallmouth. Fishing a fast flowing river from a kayak is quite difficult as you are always moving, so I wasn’t able to spend much time in the holes I wanted to fish. Still, I’m very satisfied with my catch of the day and look forward to cooking up the fillets I got from him.

Woke up at 3:30 to head to the Delaware River today in hopes of some snakehead. I managed to catch one in the first 5 minutes of fishing! However, none were landed in the 4 hours that followed. Still feels good to come home with the skunk off the board and some meat in the freezer for next weekend 😉 #catchking
