Yesterday I got to fish one of my favorite fisheries for Lake Sturgeon. I hit the water about an hour before sunrise and started soaking my worms. Very quickly I landed my first lake sturgeon of the day, and about 30 minutes later, another. These would be the only two of the day, both biting before sunrise and the largest weighing about 5lbs. After sunrise, I could only tempt the catfish. My first catfish of the day was a new official Personal Best, weighing 10lbs 12oz! I would catch three more in the 5 hours that followed, all with extremely fully bellies. I also managed to catch a yellow perch, and since the hole I was fishing was so deep, he had barotrauma after landing him. I also spent some time on the Canal Lachine where I partook in some goby control.

Only Sturgeon of the night! After catching dink Falleye after dink Falleye, finally caught the target species. Didn't even notice he was hooked, just reeled in to check my bait and there he was! He woke up as soon as he saw the shore though, fought for a little bit but got to land him in the end.
