Caught my first brook trout today through the ice tried a bunch of back lakes in this crazy wind and managed to make it happen at the very last lake this isn’t the lake it was near Bancroft so I just put here

Another great day ice fishing! Was a little scary getting the truck down onto the lake, somehow pulled it off without going into a tree with how icy the hill was. But not a scratch on the truck, we got set up, realized I forgot the hooks so only had three hooks to work with and saw probably over 30 trout but only caught the two. Missed a few but all and all a great day fishing!

Spent the afternoon on Raven Lake with some buddies. We came expecting to get some decent sized brookies through the hole, but the fish were so easily spooked. Checking out our baits, but turning away at the last second. This small brookie was the only fish we managed on the day. It’s my first fish of 2026 so I’m excited about that. Caught on one of my buddy’s setups using a small ice jig and shrimp. There was some sizeable fish down there, and on multiple occasions we saw a giant of about 7 lbs. He wouldn’t take though sadly. Lost a couple near the hole too.
